Overview
This programme trains students to take part in the design and fabrication of mechanical systems, covering technical drawing, CAD/CAM design, mechanical fabrication, CNC machine programming, tooling and matrix production, and quality control. The curriculum spans 31 courses and two internships over 2,070 hours, including 18 weeks of internship of which 12 are paid, delivered in a hybrid format combining in-class and online instruction as set for each course. Admission requires secondary-level mathematics (Mathematics 436, the Technical and Scientific option, the Natural Science option, or Culture, Society and Technology, 5th year) and Physics 534 or equivalent, plus passing online tests of mathematical ability, logical reasoning, and spatial representation, and a virtual selection interview. Graduates receive an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC) in Génie mécanique from Cégep de Granby and are prepared for mechanical design, CNC programming, and fabrication roles in manufacturing.
