Diploma in Musique

Musique is a pre-university Diploma of College Studies (DEC) program offered by Cegep de l'Abitibi-Temiscamingue at its Val-d'Or campus, delivered in partnership with the Conservatoire de musique du Quebec. Students complete specialized music training at the Conservatoire de musique de Val-d'Or under conservatory faculty while completing the Cegep's general education (formation generale) requirements. The program combines applied music instruction with participation in master classes, workshops, recitals, and larger performance events organized through the Conservatoire. Admission is by audition rather than through the standard Cegep application process: applicants must demonstrate clear technical and musical ability, and all admission steps are handled directly by the Conservatoire rather than the Cegep.
