Overview
Techniques d'administration et de gestion (410.G0) is a technical Diploma of College Studies (DEC) at Cégep de Thetford, newly launching in fall 2026, that trains students for business and administrative careers. The program begins with a common first year shared by two specialization profiles, after which students choose one for their second and third years: Comptabilité et stratégies financières, oriented toward recording financial transactions, accounting software, financial statement preparation, cost analysis, and budgeting; and Commerce, marketing et évènementiel, oriented toward marketing plan development, consumer research, event planning and coordination, digital marketing, and client relationship management. Both profiles combine coursework with business simulations, company visits, and an internship placement in an enterprise, and both offer an international study-trip opportunity. Students are required to have a laptop for coursework. Graduates from either profile can pursue university continuation through DEC-BAC agreements, or move directly into roles such as accounting technician, marketing or events coordinator, or general administrative positions across manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and financial sectors. The program suits students seeking practical, business-oriented training with a choice of specialization.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Techniques d'administration et de gestion's page carries no Préalables tab and lists no program-specific prerequisite, so admission runs on Cégep de Thetford's general DEC admission conditions alone: a Secondary School Diploma (DES) or Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP), including Secondary 5 French (language of instruction), Secondary 5 English (second language) and Secondary 4 Mathematics, with upgrading courses possible for a DES holder missing those units; the Cégep can admit a candidate up to six DES units short if all other program and Cégep requirements are satisfied. No minimum grade average, language test, portfolio or interview is stated; the program's page separately reports a 100% Cégep-wide admission rate, which is not itself an admission condition.
Application Details
Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through the Service regional d'admission au collegial de Quebec (SRACQ) in successive rounds: for Fall 2027 entry the first-round deadline is 1 March 2027 (with later rounds on 1 May, 1 June and 1 August), and for Winter 2027 entry the first-round deadline is 1 November 2026 followed by rounds on 1 December and 1 January. International applicants apply directly to the college for Fall entry only, with a hard deadline of 1 February 2027; applications are processed on a continuous basis between September and February of the intake year, and French nationals may be eligible for later dates. Domestic admission proceeds through rounds so later applicants are still considered while seats remain, while the international Fall deadline is firm. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
