Overview
This Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in Furniture Design (Design de mobilier), program code EJJ.0F, is offered by Cégep de Victoriaville and prepares students to work as furniture designers. The program runs 315 hours over 10 months in a hybrid format delivered mostly online, with in-person sessions on Tuesday evenings, four Thursday evenings, and Saturdays. The curriculum opens with foundational courses in design principles, graphic communication, and 3D modelling, then moves into three specialized design workshops covering storage furniture, tables and work surfaces, and seating. Students develop the technical and conceptual skills needed to design functional, market-ready furniture pieces. Graduates are prepared for design roles in furniture manufacturing companies, design studios, and custom furniture workshops.
