Overview
This attestation d'etudes collegiales (AEC), program code JNC.26, prepares graduates to work as specialized educators supporting people of all ages who face difficulties related to emotional, physical, intellectual, social, behavioural, or mental-health challenges. The curriculum builds competencies in prevention, adaptation, rehabilitation, and social-integration support, combining theory with field placements. The program totals 2,085 hours and is delivered in a hybrid format: full-time study runs 24 months, with two mandatory in-person days per week and the remainder online, Monday to Friday; a part-time option runs 48 months, combining two online evenings and one mandatory in-person Saturday every three weeks. Graduates are prepared to work in schools, youth centres, group homes, rehabilitation centres, and other social-service and community settings. Admission follows the college's standard AEC admission process, and registration fees are approximately $125 per session for AEC students.
