Overview
Technologie de l'architecture is a technical DEC offered exclusively in the Montérégie region at Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The program is recognized by the Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec for the quality of its training, and the college notes it received a distinction from that professional order in 2019. Learning is organized around project-based coursework that emphasizes collaboration with peers and other stakeholders, with specialized courses adapted to current labour-market needs. Instruction is delivered by teachers who work as architecture and construction professionals and who maintain active ties to the field. Since fall 2025, students admitted to the program are required to have and use their own laptop computer as part of a "DEC portable" model. The college also offers an optional morning exploratory activity for prospective students to learn about coursework, the learning environment, and career prospects in architecture technology. Admission Requirements: Requires the Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) plus prerequisites on the programme's own conditions d'admission page: Technico-sciences or Sciences naturelles de 4e secondaire (TS 4e / SN 4e), and Science et technologie or Applications technologiques et scientifiques de 4e secondaire (ST 4e / ATS 4e). Applicants with a pre-2010 DES go to SRAM's equivalency table. Not open to international candidates; admitted students must buy the Code de construction du Québec and Code national du bâtiment ($340 plus taxes) in session 2. Québec and Canadian applicants apply exclusively through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM, admission.sram.qc.ca); for fall entry the first round closes March 1 (with possible second and third rounds), and for winter entry the first round closes November 1. International applicants must show the equivalent of eleven completed years of schooling, evaluated by the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI) or by SRAM; the Cégep recommends the Bright test at level C1 (at least 4.0 on the CEFR scale), filed in the SRAM dossier. Applications go through SRAM's international-candidates section with card payment online; for fall entry the window opens March 15 of the prior year and closes March 14, and for winter entry it opens June 1 two years before and closes May 31 one year before.

International applicants also apply through SRAM: the Fall 2027 file-completion deadline is 14 March 2027 (window opened 15 March 2026); the Winter international window for Winter 2027 entry already closed 31 May 2026, so the current one is for Winter 2028 entry, opening 1 June 2026 and closing 31 May 2027. Techniques de physiothérapie does not admit international students. Admission is not rolling beyond these SRAM rounds. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
