Overview
By attending the Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer and Communications Networks) Honours program, you'll be part of a select group of Ontario students to receive a four-year degree in information technology. The Ministry of Colleges and Universities specifically selected Centennial College to deliver an applied science / Information Technology program that addresses the province's critical need for IT infrastructure (Systems/Networks/Clouds/Security) program that addresses the province's critical need for networking professionals. Centennial is the only post-secondary institution in Ontario to offer a Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer and Communication Networks) program. During the four years you'll spend in this School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science offering, you'll study a unique blend of technology and business subjects. The latest technologies on Computer Systems/ Networks, Switching/Routing, Windows Server/Linux System Administration, Wireless/Cellular Networks, Data Centre/Cloud, Cybersecurity and Telecommunication/VoIP are covered in the program and state-of-the-art labs are equipped to allow students to practice and learn these technologies. A hands-on approach will ensure an innovative balance between the practical and theoretical backgrounds that employers are seeking. You will be learning from highly qualified professors who hold industrial certifications and advanced academic credentials. You will also be able to specialize in Security or Wireless Networks, with technical electives in the third and fourth year of the program. Graduates of this program may qualify for admission to post-graduate programs. This college has been granted a consent by the Minister of Colleges and Universities to offer this applied degree for a seven-year term starting May 27, 2020. The college shall ensure that all students admitted to the above-named program during the period of consent will have the opportunity to complete the program within a reasonable time frame.

Admission Requirements: Applicants from secondary school need an OSSD or equivalent with at least six Grade 12 Mixed or University preparation courses averaging 65 per cent or higher, to include Grade 12 English (University preparation) at 65 per cent or higher and one Grade 12 University preparation mathematics from Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, or Mathematics of Data Management at 60 per cent or higher; Centennial's Engineering Math Skills Assessment can be taken in place of the mathematics course. Mature applicants, meaning 21 or older by 31 December of the intake year, need the same Grade 12 U English at 65 per cent (or an Ontario Academic Credit or equivalent) and Grade 12 U mathematics at 60 per cent or the skills assessment, together with a complete academic history and a resume setting out work experience. English language proficiency documentation is required. Progress Campus, September intake, open to domestic and international applicants.

Application Deadline:Centennial publishes no application deadline for this program; what follows is the Ontario college cycle that governs it. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
