Overview

The Computer Systems Technician – Networking (Fast Track) program is for you if you've completed a college or university program and wish to get into the computer industry faster. This applied science program will allow qualified college or university graduates to gain direct admission into the second year (third semester) of the two-year Computer Systems Technician - Networking program to receive their diploma in one year (two semesters). The areas covered in this School of Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, Trades, and Transportation (ASENT3) program, which attracts university grads from around the world, will include: Multi-vendor operating systems Networking Network security Virtualization and Cloud Technologies Network service and support Wireless Technologies Customer skills Communications for technology Also included will be an optimum balance between hands-on experience and theory. You'll work with state-of-the-art testing and measurement equipment in purpose-built labs, solidifying a strong foundation in network design and testing. In these labs, you'll delve inside PC hardware and learn the intricacies of operating systems, explore the latest in computer systems and network technology, gain an opportunity for first-hand experience on real-world virtualization and cloud platforms, build and test wireless networks, and assemble and maintain systems that will empower users in creative, business and communication activities. Committed faculty members will maintain a close watch on trends to ensure that included topics reflect the ever-growing digital industry. As a graduate of this program, you'll be prepared to handle technical support for the information systems, Internet, intranets, extranets and telecom and wireless networks that exist in today's world.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: This fast-track diploma admits applicants holding a degree or a three-year college diploma in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or, alternatively, a combination of a partial degree or diploma and relevant work experience assessed through transcript and resume review. English proficiency is satisfied through Centennial's own English Admission Test or by meeting the general language-proficiency page's Standard Programs scale: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 67 with Reading at least 16 and Writing at least 23, PTE Academic 51 or higher, or Duolingo 105 or higher. No portfolio or interview is required, and no minimum admission GPA is published.

Application Deadline: Centennial publishes no application deadline for this program; what follows is the Ontario college cycle that governs it. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
