Overview
This Computer Systems Technology – Networking (Fast-Track) (Optional Co-op) program is for students who previously completed a relevant college or university program and wish to receive their diploma in two years (four semesters) by entering the second year of the three-year Networking offering. This college engineering program prides itself on facilitating an ideal balance between hands-on experience and theory in its Computer Systems Technology courses. As such, you'll learn by using state-of-the-art testing and measurement equipment in purpose-built labs to develop a solid foundation in network design and testing as well as project management. Hands-on activities will include delving into computer hardware and learning the intricacies of operating systems, exploring current computer systems and networks technology, and assembling and maintaining systems that will empower users in creative, business and communication activities. You'll develop technical expertise in areas that include: Network design, management, and troubleshooting PC hardware and multivendor operating systems Data centre Virtualization and cloud technologies Converged (VoIP) networks Network security Wireless networks Administration and management of Windows/Linux systems With its lessons that centre on the latest technological advances in the ever-growing digital industry, the Computer Systems Technology – Networking (Fast-Track) program will ensure you're fully prepared for a challenging career in the world of computers. The program offers a co-op option (program #3435) that includes four semesters and two co-op work terms. Academically qualified students may enhance their education and gain work experience to support employability through field placement in the IT-related industry as paid employees. The college’s department for Co-op Education and Career Services provides support for resumé development, mock interviews, and industry outreach for job postings. Students in the co-op program will learn to prepare for their co-op via COOP-121 (Co-op Preplacement Course).

Admission Requirements: This fast-track advanced diploma admits applicants holding a degree or a three-year college diploma in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or a combination of a partial degree or diploma and relevant work experience, assessed through transcript and resume review. English proficiency is satisfied through Centennial's own English Admission Test or by meeting the general language-proficiency page's Standard Programs scale: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 67 with Reading at least 16 and Writing at least 23, PTE Academic 51 or higher, or Duolingo 105 or higher. No portfolio or interview is required, and no minimum admission GPA is published; the optional co-op stream separately requires a cumulative GPA of 2.5 once enrolled.

Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date.
