The Marketing Certificate covers the fundamentals of marketing management, consumer behaviour, and marketing research, examining how marketing helps organizations sell goods and services. It is an add-on professional certificate, drawn from the Administrative Studies curriculum, completed alongside an undergraduate degree in another field rather than as a stand-alone credential. The certificate is offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies on a full-time basis and admits students in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms, so students can begin whenever it fits their degree schedule. On completion it is recorded on the transcript alongside the student's primary degree, documenting focused study of marketing principles, consumer behaviour theory, and consumer research methods, undertaken alongside a York undergraduate degree in another field of study.
