Program details

Overview

This fast-track pathway is designed for internationally and domestically trained electrical technicians and technologists, and others with related qualifications, to have their prior work experience or degree credentials assessed so they can avoid repeating coursework already covered. It also appeals to those looking to update their knowledge and skills in response to rapid change in the field of electrical engineering technology.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Fast-track entry requires a diploma or degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related science or engineering field, confirmed through transcript review. English proficiency is assessed solely through Centennial's own English Admission Test, on which the programme requires a score of 160 to 161; the page states this pathway relies on the college's own assessment rather than external standardized language tests. A Math Skills Assessment may also be requested at the college's discretion. No portfolio, interview, or separate work-experience requirement is stated beyond the prior-credential pathway described above.

Application Details

Application Deadline: Centennial publishes no application deadline for this program; what follows is the Ontario college cycle that governs it. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
