This two-year diploma programme builds the academic and workplace foundations students need before entering one of CCNB's skilled-trades programmes. It is designed for applicants who do not yet meet the direct entry requirements for a trades diploma and instead follow CCNB's preparatory admission pathway. Courses cover reading, writing, mathematics, digital skills, English as a second language, intercultural communication, job-search strategies, and expectations of the Canadian workplace. Students also complete introductory modules in construction, energy, motorized mechanics, industrial trades, and metalworking, sampling several trades sectors before choosing a specialization. The programme is offered at the Bathurst, Dieppe, and Edmundston campuses with a September start and leads to a Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick diploma in Techniques multidisciplinaires en métier, after which graduates can progress into a related trades diploma programme at the college.
