Overview

Accounting Clerk is a certificate program offered by the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) that trains students to carry out bookkeeping and payroll tasks with accuracy and rigour. Coursework covers day-to-day bookkeeping operations, payroll processing, use of accounting software, tax-compliance procedures, and the preparation of financial statements, along with professional communication skills in both French and English. Students learn the routines used in small and mid-sized organizations to record transactions, reconcile accounts, process employee pay, and prepare basic financial reports for management review. The program totals 30 weeks of training and is offered at the Bathurst and Dieppe campuses. Graduates work as accounting clerks, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of businesses, non-profits, and public-sector organizations across a range of industries and workplace settings.
