The one-year Science Certificate prepares you to further your studies in the College’s Associate of Science degree and/or a bachelor’s degree at one of COTR's partner institutions. Domestic students can start this program in September, January, or May, whichever is a better fit for you. Take a year to explore the sciences and find out what interests you most from fields like Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Math, Physics, and Statistics.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission to the Science Certificate at College of the Rockies requires secondary-school graduation or equivalent, a grade of at least C+ (65%) in one of English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12 or ENGL090, and completion of one of two math paths: at least C+ (65%) in Pre-Calculus 11, Pre-Calculus 12, MATH080 or MATH090, or at least C+ (65%) in each of Foundations of Mathematics 11 and Foundations of Mathematics 12, or completion of Calculus 12. Basic computer skills are recommended, and the page advises students to work with an education advisor to select courses matching their pathway; individual courses may carry their own prerequisites.
