Program details

Overview

This certificate acts as a starting point toward bachelor's-level study in the arts, humanities, social sciences or interdisciplinary fields, and also ladders directly into the college's own Associate of Arts degree, its Bachelor of Business Management degree, or transfer to partner institutions. It also suits those pursuing lifelong learning rather than a specific credential pathway.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: The Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Certificate requires secondary-school graduation or equivalent, plus a minimum grade of C+ (65%) in one of English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12, or Provincial English (Literature-based). Basic computer skills are recommended. The program's own calendar entry does not publish a separate international-student English-proficiency score; applicants whose first language is not English must instead meet College of the Rockies' general English proficiency requirement, set out on the institution's language-requirements page (for example TOEFL iBT 80 overall or IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 6.0).
