Diploma in Arts, lettres et communication : option Multidisciplinaire is a diploma in Arts & Culture programme offered by Collège Shawinigan in Shawinigan, Canada. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in French. Tuition is CAD 3,740 per year for local students.
Arts, lettres et communication, option Multidisciplinaire is a pre-university DEC at Cégep de Shawinigan built around exploration of the arts, film, literature, and culture generally, combined with a general pre-university curriculum. The page describes a multidisciplinary program in which students are introduced to film language and produce short films for the program's own short-film festival, practise both observational and imaginative drawing, complete studio projects in painting and sculpture, and try journalism through interviews, reports, and reviews published in Shaoui!, the college's cultural magazine, and Shawimag, the program's own review. Creative-writing work spans poetry, slam, short fiction, screenwriting, and photo-narratives, including participation in producing the college's poetry anthology, alongside literary study touching on subjects such as mythology, comics, and fantasy. Students complete a final capstone project in the program area of their choice. It runs as a Br@nché ('connected') program with laptop use in class, and includes cultural outings and the possibility of an international trip. The program suits students who are creative and curious about culture broadly, want a varied introduction to artistic and literary practice before specializing, and are considering university studies in fields such as visual arts, literature, communication, or media.

Application Details
Start Date:September
Application Deadline:Domestic (Quebec/Canadian) applicants apply through SRAM (admission.sram.qc.ca): for the Hiver (Winter) 2027 session the portal opened September 15, 2026, with Round 1 closing November 1, 2026 and Round 2 closing November 25, 2026; for Automne (Fall) 2027 entry, SRAM's fixed system-wide Round 1 cutoff is March 1, 2027, though the college has not yet posted 2027-specific Round 2/3 dates (Automne 2026 saw April 23 and May 28, 2026 for those rounds). International applicants face fixed, non-rolling SRAM deadlines instead of rounds: March 14 for Automne entry and May 31 for Hiver entry, with no exceptions once the date passes. Admission is therefore round-based for domestic candidates and firm for international ones. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
