Cert in Community Integration Through Co-Operative Education (CICE) is a certificate in Social & Cultural Studies programme taught at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Canada. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition is CAD 2,750 per year for local students.
This two-year certificate is designed for individuals with exceptionalities or significant learning challenges, offering a modified college experience supported by Learning Strategists. All students take a shared set of core courses covering human relations and communication, life skills, job skills, computer skills, and health and wellness. Additional courses are drawn from current programs in fields such as Creative Industries, Community Services and Business, adapted to each student's interests and learning needs to build vocational skills in a chosen area. Work placements throughout the program develop employability and community involvement, with the aim of helping students move toward independence and transition into volunteer or paid employment, or further academic study.
