Program details

Overview

This two-term certificate builds the knowledge and skills needed to set up and resolve issues with networks, infrastructure services, server operating systems and end-user computers. Students refine these skills through activities modelled on a business IT support role, with a focus on addressing client needs.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature student status for applicants 19 years of age or older, with Grade 12 compulsory English at the C or U level (or Conestoga's Preparatory Communications, COMM1251) and Grade 11 Mathematics at the C or U level (or Conestoga's Preparatory Mathematics, MATH1420 or MATH1375). The program page defers English proficiency for non-English-instruction transcripts to Conestoga's institution-wide standard published on the college's international admission requirements page: for certificate programs this is IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with no skill below 20, PTE Academic 53, or Duolingo 110. Conestoga notes that a sound mathematical and English background is considered during admissions selection and that minimum cut-offs apply. Applicants with international transcripts require a course-by-course credential evaluation.
