Program details

Overview

Delivered in a hybrid, part-time format, this program builds a specialization in legal administrative procedures for an increasingly global, technology-driven legal industry. Students develop technological, administrative and communication skills while being introduced to legal office procedures, then apply substantive and procedural law to producing legal documentation across real estate, litigation, wills and estates, family law, corporate law and immigration law. Administrative training using current computer programs and specialized legal software centres on client files and accounting procedures, with a strong problem-solving focus throughout the hands-on coursework, concluding with a 90-hour work placement.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: This part-time continuing-education program admits applicants who hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or the equivalent, or who are 19 years of age or older and qualify under mature-student status. On top of that, applicants need Grade 12 compulsory English at the C level with a minimum mark of 65%, at the U level with a minimum mark of 55%, or completion of Conestoga's Preparatory Communications course (COMM1251) with a minimum mark of 60%. The program page does not publish a standardized English-language test score such as IELTS or TOEFL for this part-time offering, and Conestoga's general admission requirements note that the college publishes no single domestic test-score table, leaving the required evidence to the individual program page. All courses in the program must be completed within seven years of the applicant's acceptance.

Application Details

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca (college code CONS): for the Fall 2027 intake the online application opens 26 September 2026, the equal consideration date is 1 February 2027, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and accepted offers must be confirmed by 1 May 2027; most oversubscribed programs stop accepting applications after 1 February 2027, though many programs remain open afterward. Conestoga does not publish a separate equal-consideration date for its January intake. International applicants apply directly to Conestoga and are assessed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis until each program fills; no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
