PGCert in Human Factors and Ergonomics

Human Factors and Ergonomics is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate covering the knowledge and skills needed to assess and design safe, productive work environments. The program teaches ergonomic tools, techniques and technologies used to redesign workspaces and improve the fit between people, machines, tools and technology across two academic terms of study. In a capstone project, students work in teams to design, implement and evaluate real-world industry solutions with guidance from field experts, applying human factors principles to practical workplace problems. Graduates are prepared for roles assessing and improving workplace design and safety using ergonomic analysis and human-system performance principles in industrial and office settings, working alongside field experts through the capstone project to evaluate real-world solutions before graduation.
