Overview
The Bachelor of Arts at Dalhousie University is a flexible undergraduate degree offered through the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the Halifax, Truro and Bible Hill campuses. It gives students access to more than 35 subject areas and hundreds of courses, letting them explore broadly across the humanities and social sciences before declaring a specific subject as their major at the end of first year. Within the BA framework students can pursue a Major, Double Major, Combined Honours, Honours or Minor depending on their chosen subject, allowing the degree to be shaped around individual academic and career interests. The degree is designed for direct entry from high school, with study-abroad participation also available to students during the program. New students may begin the Bachelor of Arts in either September or January, depending on the intake and campus.
