Biomedical Engineering (PhD) is a research doctoral program offered through Dalhousie University's School of Biomedical Engineering, a joint unit of the Faculties of Engineering and Medicine. Applicants are expected to hold a background in engineering, science, or a related clinical or technical field appropriate to biomedical device research. International applicants must also meet Dalhousie's graduate English-language proficiency requirements: IELTS Academic 7.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 92 (or 4.5 overall on the 1-6 scale for tests from January 21, 2026 onward), CAEL 70 with no band under 60, or Pearson PTE Academic 65 with no skill below 54.
