Overview
Dalhousie University's Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology is a thesis-based graduate program in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in Halifax. Students pursue independent, supervisor-guided research with options to specialize in virology, bacteriology, microbial pathogenesis, the microbiome, cancer biology, or cellular and molecular immunology, culminating in a thesis that is developed and defended before a committee. Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the Faculty of Graduate Studies minimum requirement of a 3.0 (B average) grade point average in the last 60 credit hours of study, together with program-specific requirements set by the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Dalhousie's graduate English-language proficiency requirements, such as an IELTS Academic score of 7.0 or a TOEFL iBT score of 4.5 on the 1-6 scale.
