Overview
The Disability and Applied Behaviour Analysis (DABA) Certificate provides you with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the application of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) within a disability context. This credential is intended to build on lower-level coursework and to present a consistent professional standard of education and qualifications via specialized courses. The core of the program is built on the principles of ABA, an evidence-based, scientific approach to changing human behaviour. Once you graduate, you'll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to work with people who have autism.

Admission Requirements: Beyond Douglas College's general admission requirements and English Language Proficiency requirement (proof of English proficiency, met with IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 83, PTE Academic 56, Duolingo English Test 110, CAEL 60 or another option the college accepts), the Disability and Applied Behaviour Analysis Certificate asks for at least one of: a graduate or bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, or current enrolment in the third or fourth year of a bachelor's degree at a recognized institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.33. Suitability for the programme is then assessed through a letter of intent covering the applicant's reasons, goals, strengths and limitations, a current resume, and two professional reference letters; the college describes the selective admission process as using a structured format to evaluate all applicants.
