Program details

Overview

The diploma builds financial knowledge alongside practical skills in investment analysis and portfolio management. A Business Internship Program carries classroom theory into a live business environment, with students taking on unpaid, part-time tasks and projects similar to those handled by junior employees across management, marketing, sales, administrative or business roles in today's workplace. The Career Boost initiative is offered as an additional option.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: On top of Douglas College's general admission requirements and English Language Proficiency requirement (proof of English proficiency, met with IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 83, PTE Academic 56, Duolingo English Test 110, CAEL 60 or another option the college accepts), the Financial Analysis Post-Degree Diploma requires an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada, or an equivalent credential from an approved institution abroad; applicants whose credential was earned in a language other than English must also meet the college's English language proficiency requirement. Given the programme's advanced coverage of finance topics, the page recommends, without making it mandatory, that applicants hold a bachelor's degree in business. No minimum GPA, portfolio or interview is stated.
