On top of the academic and language requirements, applicants must submit a letter of application describing their prior educational and work experience and explaining how the diploma will meet their academic or career objectives, together with 8-10 pages of writing samples spanning at least three genres (for example an academic essay, website copy, and a technical manual); collaborative-writing samples are not accepted, though excerpts from longer works are.
