Overview
Designed specifically for graduates of Durham College’s Ontario College Diploma in Paralegal, this unique streamlined pathway to a degree allows students to earn an Honours Bachelor degree in Paralegal by entering into year three to complete two years of the degree. Qualified graduates of an Ontario College Diploma in Paralegal from an Ontario college other than Durham College can apply for credit transfer. Developed in response to the growing need for legal representation and access to the justice system, this degree program prepares students with the knowledge, skills and expertise required to work in a variety of legal fields.

Admission Requirements: This is the degree-completion pathway for holders of Durham College's own Ontario College Diploma in Paralegal, who qualify for transfer credit into the honours bachelor with a minimum overall diploma average of 60 per cent. Graduates of an Ontario College Diploma in Paralegal earned at another Ontario college can also apply for credit transfer into the degree, subject to the same review. Applicants aged 19 or over who are missing a prerequisite can use Durham's pre-admission assessment testing in English or mathematics to qualify. The programme page states no language-test scores of its own; where proof of English proficiency is required, Durham College's institution-wide requirement for bachelor degrees applies: IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 4.5 overall with no section below 4.5, PTE Academic 60 with no section below 57, CAEL 70 with no section below 70, or Duolingo English Test 120.
