Diploma in Paralegal

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Mature Student Status, plus a Grade 12 English credit at the C or U level; the programme page adds no further course prerequisites beyond a recommended high level of English comprehension and communication. It does not publish its own language-test scores, so English proficiency follows Durham College's institution-wide policy for certificate and diploma programs: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 4.5 overall with no section below 4.5, PTE Academic 53 with no section below 49, CAEL 60 with no section below 60, or Duolingo English Test 110. A Grade 12 English credit at C or U, a post-secondary English course, a GED, the Canadian Adult Education Credential, or a successful pre-admission assessment also satisfies the requirement, and Durham offers pre-admission testing and free Academic Upgrading to domestic applicants aged 19 or over who lack it.
