The Certificate in Indigenous Economic Development is an 18-credit-hour certificate within First Nations University of Canada's laddered Bachelor of Administration (BAdmin) pathway, which also includes the Certificate in Administration I and II, a Diploma of Administration, and the full Bachelor of Administration degree. The BAdmin program takes an Indigenous-centred approach to business leadership, governance, and management, balancing academic theory, strategic and conceptual thinking, and hands-on application of business principles across marketing, human resources, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, and public administration. Coursework builds toward the higher credentials in the same program, letting students stack the certificate into a diploma or degree without repeating study. Graduates of the Administration pathway are prepared for roles such as band manager, economic development officer, financial analyst, and project manager, supporting Indigenous economic development within their own communities or across sectors.
