Overview
The Certificate in Taxation is a 30-credit undergraduate certificate at Universite de Sherbrooke, made up entirely of optional courses in taxation. It develops skills in taxation and can be used to partially satisfy the requirements of the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A.), letting students build tax expertise either as a standalone continuing-education credential or as one component toward a full bachelor's degree. The certificate is aimed at people already working or with prior postsecondary study who want targeted training without committing to a full-time program. It is offered on a part-time basis, with courses available on the university's main Sherbrooke campus for the fall, winter and summer terms, or through distance education for the fall and winter terms.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must have successfully completed a first-cycle microprogram in introduction to economics or management, or hold any other university diploma of at least 12 credits; or hold a Diplome d'etudes collegiales (DEC) awarded by the ministry responsible for post-secondary education in Quebec, or the equivalent for studies completed outside Quebec. Admission is offered on a part-time basis: for the fall, winter and summer terms on the Sherbrooke campus, or for the fall and winter terms through distance education.
