Overview
With extensive hands-on lab work, a paid co-op, and applied research projects related to CAMIIT, you will have many opportunities to gain practical, applied experience. Students in the program may also take part in Siemens Canada’s Dual Education Program for Engineering and Technologist Students, an innovative work-integrated learning program that provides an educational and professional foundation for students. It includes a structured mentorship program and hands-on work experience.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: This co-op option of Electrical Engineering Technology carries the same admission requirements as the standard programme: an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) including Grade 12 College-level (C) English and Grade 12 College-level (C) Mathematics, with a minimum final grade of 60% in the Grade 12 C Mathematics course; Grade 12 C substitutes for a Grade 11 C requirement, and University (U) or Mixed (M) courses satisfy a College (C)-level requirement. Grade 11 or 12 Physics is recommended, not required. No programme-specific language scores are published, so Fleming College's general English proficiency requirement applies: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with no section below 20, PTE Academic 46, or Duolingo English Test 105. A personal laptop meeting the college's minimum technology specification, with webcam and microphone, is required.
