A broad spectrum of career opportunities exists within the electrical industry. Graduates can be employed by electrical utility and power companies, industrial plants, communications companies, and manufacturers of electrical equipment. Consulting firms, construction sites, mining, and transportation industries all hire technicians to design and maintain electrical and electronic systems for use in residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial installations.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) including Grade 12 College-level (C) English and Grade 12 College-level (C) Mathematics, with a minimum final grade of 60% in the Grade 12 C Mathematics course; a Grade 11 C Mathematics course is accepted where Grade 12 C is not held, and University (U) or Mixed (M) level courses are accepted wherever a College (C) course is listed. A Grade 11 or 12 Physics course is recommended but not required. The programme page sets no language scores of its own, so Fleming College's general English proficiency requirement applies: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with no section below 20, PTE Academic 46, or Duolingo English Test 105.
