Honours Bachelor of Behaviour Analysis

This four-year honours bachelor's degree at George Brown Polytechnic's Waterfront Campus prepares students to practise applied behaviour analysis (ABA), a systematic, evidence-based approach to understanding and modifying human behaviour. Coursework spans behavioural science theory and principles, developmental and abnormal psychology, research methods and statistics, and professional ethics, with instruction geared toward populations affected by autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, brain injury, dementia, addiction, or mental health disorders. Students complete supervised block placements in semesters four and six before an unpaid fourteen-week field experience term in their final year, during which they also carry out a capstone research thesis with faculty support. The curriculum reflects Ontario's regulation of applied behaviour analysis under the Psychology and Applied Behaviour Analysis Act, positioning graduates to pursue licensure as Behaviour Analysts through the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. An advanced-entry, year-three bridging route exists for graduates of approved behavioural science technician or technology diplomas, including George Brown's own credentials in that field. The program suits students who are analytical, comfortable working with data, and drawn to supporting people who present challenging behaviours, whether in clinical, educational, or community settings. It is delivered full-time, on campus, at the college's Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences.
