Overview
Biotechnology is a two-year Ontario College Diploma delivered full-time and in person at Georgian College's Barrie campus, preparing graduates for careers in biotechnology, a high-tech field spanning many employment sectors. Students build skills through comprehensive experiential, hands-on learning across microbiology, molecular biology, tissue culture, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, and pharmaceutical biotechnology, working with laboratory techniques and instrumentation used across the biotech industry. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status, including Grade 12 English (C or U), Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U), Grade 11 or 12 Biology (C or U), and Grade 12 Chemistry (C or U). Mature students and home-schooled applicants may be considered with equivalent courses or GED completion.
