Game - Art and Animation is a two-year Ontario College Diploma delivered in person at Georgian College's Barrie Downtown campus, training versatile artists, animators, and technical specialists for the demanding real-time production pipelines of the video game, animation, and visual effects industries. The curriculum integrates animation (2D and 3D, motion capture, visual effects), visual development (storyboarding, character design), and technical pipeline training (3D previsualization, texturing, and engine optimization). The final semester focuses on portfolio development and mock interviews to prepare students for entering the industry. Students must provide a personal laptop and pressure-sensitive digital drawing tablet meeting program-specified hardware requirements.
