This 30-credit certificate explores Christian spiritual traditions, including their biblical foundations and the Ignatian model for interpreting spiritual experience. Students develop critical perspectives on lived and religious spirituality, identifying contemporary issues and influences on the tradition. It is nominally one year in length on a full-time basis, with a part-time option spread across six consecutive sessions, and up to 15 credits of prior learning may be recognized toward it. The program may be offered at a distance or in a hybrid format. Credits earned may be applied toward theology or related multidisciplinary bachelor's programs. The certificate is taught in French and admits students in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms.
