Requirements

Admission Requirements: The academic requirements below are Humber's Ontario baseline; an international applicant meets the equivalent standard for their own country of study through Humber's Academic Equivalency tool and then the same program requirements. Academic: an OSSD or accepted equivalent, with no named subject prerequisites; instead every applicant must sit Humber's mandatory admission testing in senior-level biology, chemistry, writing and mathematics, for which test fees apply and preparation material is published on the Health Related Programs Admissions Assessment (HHP 01) page. Mature-student status or college/university transfer status are accepted in place of the secondary-school route. Additional requirement: a questionnaire completed in the Applicant Portal, together with any current certificate or proof of enrolment in CPR, First Aid, NLS or Ski Patrol. Both the admission testing and the questionnaire must be finished by 31 March. A Canadian citizen or permanent resident schooled abroad needs a credential assessment first - ICAS course-by-course for a secondary transcript, WES for post-secondary study. English, where English is not your first language or your previous education was in another language: Humber's certificate, diploma and advanced diploma band - IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 with 20 per skill, PTE Academic 53-57, Duolingo 105, CAEL 60. Once you accept a seat, placement clearances may be required: immunisations and laboratory testing, TB screening, a police record check, and current First Aid and CPR certification. At the end of Semester 1 students must pass a stretcher and stair-chair lift of a 72.5 kg patient.

Application Details

Start Date: This program admits in September only - it does not run the January or May starts Humber offers elsewhere. Read from its own Program Availability listing on 6 September 2026: domestic, September 2026 at North, closed; international, September 2026 at North, not available. Delivery is block-based.
Application Deadline: These are Humber's institution-wide dates, not a deadline published for this program on its own. DOMESTIC (Canadian citizens, permanent residents and protected persons, applying at ontariocolleges.ca): applications for the next academic year open in early October and Humber may begin issuing offers from 1 November. An equal consideration date of 1 February applies each year to highly competitive programs - every application received on or before it is assessed together, and none of those offers goes out earlier. Apply after 1 February and you are considered first-come, first-served for whatever seats remain until the program closes. Fall-intake applicants must confirm their offer at ontariocolleges.ca by 1 May unless the offer letter names a later date. Waitlist places are held only until the fifth day of classes. INTERNATIONAL: apply on Humber's own web application, where no closing date is published - files are reviewed on a rolling, first-come basis from up to one year before the intended start term, and a program shuts once it fills. Apply early and allow three to five months for a study permit. Check this program's current availability on humber.ca or ontariocolleges.ca before applying.
