Overview
Humber's Honours Bachelor of Child and Youth Care degree prepares students for in-depth work with children, youth and families, built on the professional practice of child and youth care and supported by psychology, sociology, disability studies, community development, political science and education. The curriculum centres on relational practice - building relationships that support children and youth in crisis or through challenge and change - with teaching from experienced faculty, guest practitioners and community members with lived experience.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or accepted equivalent, including Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) at a minimum of 65 per cent, five further Grade 12 U or M courses, and an overall minimum admission grade point average of 65 per cent; mature-student status or college/university transfer status is accepted in place of the secondary-school route. The English-language requirement here is Humber's institution-wide English Language Proficiency Policy at the Bachelor's Degree band: IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 84 with a minimum of 21 in each skill, PTE Academic 58-60, Duolingo English Test 115 or above, or CAEL 60 overall with a Writing score of 60. A Canadian citizen or permanent resident schooled outside Canada must first have their credentials assessed - ICAS course-by-course for a secondary transcript, WES for post-secondary study.
