Overview
Business Administration and Management (SRAM 410.G0) is a three-year technical DEC covering the core disciplines of business practice, including human resources, accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and business law. The program page lists additional job-relevant subjects folded into the curriculum, such as web development fundamentals, social media marketing, supply chain and logistics, taxation, strategic team leadership, advanced data management, and advertising and visual design. It states that experiential learning, technology, and applied use of AI tools run through the program via class projects, internships, and collaborative problem-solving exercises, and that graduates build communication skills in both English and French to work in Quebec's bilingual business environment. The page frames the combination of foundational business theory and current, market-facing skills as preparation for a range of paths, from entry-level management and administration roles to entrepreneurship. It suits students who want a hands-on, broad-based introduction to business rather than an early specialization, are interested in digital tools such as data analytics and social media alongside traditional subjects like accounting and marketing, and want practical exposure through projects and internships before pursuing further business study at university or entering the workforce directly.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants need a Diplôme d'Études Secondaires including Secondary 5 Language of Instruction, Secondary 5 Second Language, Secondary 4 Mathematics, Secondary 4 Science and Technology (or Applied Science and Technology), and Secondary 4 History and Citizenship Education, or a Secondary School Vocational Diploma with Secondary 5 Language of Instruction, Secondary 5 Second Language and Secondary 4 Mathematics, or education the College deems equivalent, with no further subject prerequisite specific to this program (SRAM code 410.G0). English is John Abbott's language of instruction; the College does not publish a separate IELTS/TOEFL minimum for general admission, and international applicants' academic credentials are instead assessed against their own country of study through SRAM's international admission service. Candidates educated outside Quebec must have their credentials assessed as equivalent, and prerequisites older than five years should be verified with the Admissions Office. Applications go through SRAM by March 1 for a Fall start.
