Admission Requirements: This citation's admission requirements do not reference KPU's general English Proficiency Requirement or a Grade 12 course; instead applicants must show adequate reading comprehension and math skills as assessed by KPU, plus satisfactory physical health. SkilledTradesBC pre-requisites for entry are a Welder C Certificate of Qualification; or a Welder Foundation Certificate of Completion plus 1,000 work-based training hours verified by SkilledTradesBC; or completion of Welder Apprenticeship Levels 1 and 2 plus 1,000 work-based training hours. Completion of Level C training, or a successful Level C challenge through SkilledTradesBC, is also required. Four seats per intake are reserved for self-declared Indigenous applicants, with unused seats reverting to the general pool. No IELTS, TOEFL or other standardized English test score is published for this programme.
