Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic entry requires the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, the Quebec DES, or the New Brunswick DES, or success in La Cité's mature-applicant test for candidates 19 or over without a diploma. Because classroom materials and the work placement require a good command of English, candidates who do not meet La Cité's English requirement must instead pass the English-as-a-second-language placement test at the 'basic' level before being admitted. No numeric French-proficiency score is set for this programme; La Cité's institution-wide language-test page sets a minimum of 375 points (written comprehension) on the TCF or 352 points on the TEF for applicants who must otherwise demonstrate French competency by test. La Cité states that its admission process is competitive because of limited capacity and that admission is never guaranteed even when every published requirement is met.

Application Details

Start Date: Starts in autumn (September) or winter (January). La Cité's international application guide adds that a programme begun in winter carries a compulsory spring term.
Application Deadline: No fixed cut-off published for this programme. La Cité classes it as a regular (non-quota) programme, which means it keeps taking applications while places remain and makes an offer once the file is complete. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry the online application opened on 26 September 2026, colleges may start sending offers from 1 November 2026, and 1 February 2027 is the equal-consideration date. Many programmes carry on accepting applicants after that date on a first-come basis until they fill or open a waiting list, so check the college's programme-availability table before you apply. International applicants: this programme is not on La Cite's programme-availability table for international candidates, read 6 September 2026 - the college's complete list of the programmes international students may be admitted to - so it is not open to international applicants. Choose a programme that table lists before paying the non-refundable CAD 350 international application fee.
