Program details

Overview

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic entry follows La Cité's general secondary-school route: the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, the Quebec Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES), or the New Brunswick DES, in each case or success in La Cité's mature-applicant test for candidates of 19 or over without a diploma. The programme states no further course prerequisites and no numeric language-test score, and unlike most La Cité programme pages this one publishes no separate international-applicant route, so international candidates should confirm eligibility for this preparatory certificate directly with the college's admissions office. La Cité's institution-wide language-test page sets a minimum of 375 points (written comprehension) on the TCF or 352 points on the TEF for applicants who must demonstrate French competency by test, and this college-wide benchmark would apply here in the absence of a programme-specific figure.

Application Details

Start Date: Starts in autumn (September) or winter (January). La Cité's international application guide adds that a programme begun in winter carries a compulsory spring term.
Application Deadline: No fixed cut-off published for this programme. La Cité classes it as a regular (non-quota) programme, which means it keeps taking applications while places remain and makes an offer once the file is complete. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry the online application opened on 26 September 2026, colleges may start sending offers from 1 November 2026, and 1 February 2027 is the equal-consideration date. Many programmes carry on accepting applicants after that date on a first-come basis until they fill or open a waiting list, so check the college's programme-availability table before you apply. International applicants: La Cite's programme-availability table for international candidates, read 6 September 2026, shows this programme as closed for September 2026, open for January 2027, not offered for May 2027 and not yet posted for September 2027. Applications go through collegesdelontario.ca (SACO/OCAS) with a non-refundable CAD 350 application fee.
