Déclinaison coopérative du diplôme avancé de trois ans en Technologie du génie mécanique offert au campus d'Ottawa : au cursus — création, modification et amélioration de systèmes mécaniques, automatisation de procédés de fabrication industrielle, gestion de projets d'ingénierie et conception assistée par ordinateur — s'ajoute un stage coop qui consolide les compétences en milieu industriel. Un volet important du programme porte sur les calculs du bilan énergétique dans les habitations, et la dernière année culmine avec un projet de synthèse mené dans des conditions semblables à celles de l'industrie. Le diplômé, à qui les trois niveaux du programme d'apprentissage de mécanicien-monteur industriel sont reconnus, pourra occuper des postes de concepteur, de contrôleur, de chargé de projet en recherche et développement, d'évaluateur en écoénergie ou de gestionnaire.

Admission Requirements: Entry follows La Cité's general secondary-diploma routes: the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, the Quebec DES, or the New Brunswick DES, or, for applicants 19 or older, a pass on La Cité's mature-applicant test. Each province sets its own mathematics prerequisite: MCR3U, MCF3M or MAP4C for Ontario (MCT4C recommended); TS 064406, SN 065406 or Mathématique 436 for Quebec (Secondary 5 math recommended); 30321B for New Brunswick (30411B recommended). A candidate short of the required mathematics course may still be admitted by passing La Cité's Numeracy skills-platform test or its preparatory mathematics course. An up-to-date tetanus immunisation record is required before the start of classes. The page publishes no language-test score; La Cité's general admission requirements set French-medium instruction via the OSSD/DES/DEP route for domestic applicants and a secondary-school diploma, or proof of final-year enrolment, for international applicants.
