Ce certificat postdiplôme s'adresse aux paramédics déjà accrédités par le ministère de la Santé et des Soins de longue durée de l'Ontario (PSMSU/AEMCA) et leur ouvre une gamme élargie de gestes médicaux délégués : intubation endotrachéale, stimulation cardiaque transcutanée, cardioversion et thoracotomie à l'aiguille, avec l'administration d'une plus grande variété de médicaments. Élaboré selon le Profil national des compétences du personnel paramédical et agréé par l'Organisation des normes en santé (HSO) et Agrément Canada (EQual), le programme approfondit les urgences respiratoires et cardiaques, la pédiatrie, la traumatologie et la pharmacologie, et comprend des stages obligatoires assignés selon les places disponibles à travers l'Ontario.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: A post-diploma certificate for graduates of a primary care paramedic programme who hold Ontario's Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant certification (AEMCA / PSMSU) from the ministry of health. The application must include the certificate or other proof of passing the ministry exam; without it a file may still be considered on proof of registration for a later sitting, but obtaining the AEMCA certificate is a condition of entering the programme's clinical placements. Placement conditions: a healthcare-provider level CPR certificate (16 hours) from a recognised body, valid for the whole programme; a recent quantitative N-95 fit test, less than six months old for hospital placements; completion of all mandatory hospital and paramedic-service training; a mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone for the Comptracker web application and attendance at the college's Comptracker training session; and an up-to-date immunisation record with a criminal record check meeting the standards set by Ontario's Ambulance Act. Written proof of no criminal record is required to take part in placements.

International applicants apply through collegesdelontario.ca (SACO/OCAS) for a non-refundable CAD 350 fee and are checked against La Cité's own programme-availability table rather than a fixed date; the college states admission is competitive and never guaranteed, and publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
