The Environmental Sciences: Renewable Resource Reclamation Major is a two-year diploma delivered face-to-face at Lakeland College's Vermilion campus, with three renewable-energy courses delivered online. The program teaches science-based reclamation techniques for reducing the environmental impact of energy infrastructure, including how to recognize, manage, and decrease soil, water, and vegetation disturbances at development sites. Students complete practical reclamation training alongside two introductory renewable-energy courses chosen from wind, solar, geoenergy exchange installation, or biofuels, and may complete a workplace practicum between the first and second year. Graduates are prepared for careers reclaiming and managing disturbed land for the energy, resource, and construction industries.
