With this micro-credential, you can build data visualization skills across genomics, proteomics, microbiomes, and multi-omics studies. Today’s life-science careers require the ability to turn complex data into clear, meaningful insights.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission to the Data Visualization in Biological Sciences micro-credential requires a diploma (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Biology, or Life Sciences, for both domestic and international applicants. The programme carries Langara's Category 3 English Language Proficiency requirement: English Studies 12, English First Peoples 12, or Literary Studies 12 at 50%, IELTS Academic 6.5, Duolingo English Test 110, TOEFL iBT 80 (Writing 20, Reading 20, Listening 18, Speaking 18), CAEL 60, PTE Academic 56, or four years of full-time study in an English-language school system. The department also recommends applicants have some prior proficiency in Python or a similar programming language before starting, since the programme includes coding. Intakes run in January and September.
