2D Technologies for Film & Games Diploma is a diploma in Film & Animation programme offered by Langara College in Vancouver, Canada. The programme runs for 16 months, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 30,022 per total (CAD 25,700 per total for local students).
This full-time, in-person diploma runs four consecutive semesters over a minimum of 16 months with May and September intakes, deliberately simulating the intensity of a real-world production studio to fast-track students into the industry. Learners draw and design their own characters and bring them to life through animation, sound and storytelling, carrying projects from concept to finished product using industry-standard tools. Life drawing classes focused on capturing movement and form sit alongside character design, animation principles and professional development coursework. Graduates leave with a diploma from one of BC's most respected public colleges plus a professional portfolio and demo reel for roles across film and games animation, and Langara offers a companion 3D Technologies for Film & Games diploma.
