Honours Bachelor of Technology-Sustainability at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Canada is a honours degree in Sustainable Development programme. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered in a hybrid format. Tuition for international students is CAD 9,780 per semester (CAD 3,253 per semester for local students).
This four-year applied honours bachelor's degree at Mohawk College builds on the standard Bachelor of Technology – Sustainability with an additional year of advanced study, giving graduates deeper technical expertise in sustainable technologies such as renewable energy, sustainable building systems and resource management. Delivery is hybrid, with roughly a third of instructional hours taught online. The first three years combine case-study analysis, applied projects and a required work-integrated learning term with an industry-based capstone project; the fourth year adds a culminating applied research project undertaken at a thesis-like level of depth. Throughout the program, courses incorporate Indigenous knowledge and perspectives alongside equity, diversity and inclusion principles, encouraging students to consider a range of experiences and impacts in their sustainability work. Graduates are prepared to lead sustainability initiatives and drive innovation across industries, working alongside engineers, planners, architects and environmental technologists. It suits students who want the same technical sustainability grounding as the three-year program but are seeking an honours credential, a research component, and additional depth before entering the workforce or pursuing further study.
