Offered by Mohawk College in Hamilton, Canada, Bachelor of Technology-Sustainability is a bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development programme. The programme runs for 3 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 9,780 per semester (CAD 3,253 per semester for local students).
This three-year applied bachelor's degree at Mohawk College prepares graduates for interdisciplinary roles in sustainability, combining technical training in areas such as renewable energy, sustainable building design and operation, and resource management with project-management, policy and research skills. The first two years emphasize hands-on learning that builds toward a required work-experience term, and the final year centers on a capstone project addressing a real industry or community sustainability challenge. Graduates are positioned to work alongside engineers, planners, architects and environmental technologists on practical sustainability initiatives rather than purely academic or policy-only questions. The program blends classroom instruction with applied projects so students leave with both technical competence in sustainable technologies and the communication and project-management skills needed to work across disciplinary teams. It suits students drawn to environmental and climate-related careers who want technical grounding rather than a purely business- or science-focused sustainability program, and who are looking for a career-ready credential after three years rather than a longer degree.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through Ontario Colleges: for a September start Mohawk's equal-consideration date is 1 February (1 February 2027 for the next fall intake), and for a January start it is 1 June; after either date, files are considered first-come, first-served while seats remain, with permanent residents of Ontario prioritized, then other Canadian residents, then international applicants.
