Admission Requirements: Economics's programme page sets no academic prerequisites of its own for a Bachelor of Arts and defers to Mount Allison's general admission requirements. Applicants whose language of instruction was not English must meet Mount Allison's English proficiency requirement: IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, or TOEFL iBT 90 with at least 20 in each of Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing (PTE Academic 60 with no score below 51, CAEL CE 70 with no part below 60, Cambridge English B2 First/C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency 176 with no band below 169, and Duolingo English Test 110 are also accepted). Three years of Canadian secondary schooling, or 30+ credit hours at an English-medium post-secondary institution, can also satisfy it; applicants short only on language may receive conditional admission through the university's English Summer Pathway Program.

Application Deadline:Mount Allison uses rolling admission with no fixed general deadline: for the 2027-28 (Fall 2027) intake, early admission based on final Grade 11 marks opens 1 October 2026, general admission with mid-year Grade 12 transcripts opens in February 2027, and 1 March 2027 is the deadline to submit all application documents for admission and scholarship consideration. The deadline to accept an offer and pay the registration deposit is 1 May 2027. Bachelor of Music applicants must submit their application package by 1 February 2027, and Fine Arts (BFA/BA) applicants must submit their portfolio by 15 February 2027. International applicants follow the same published dates; Mount Allison does not publish a separate international deadline, so admission remains rolling until programs are full. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
